Bracelets to support Bannatyne Playground

March 11, 2019

bracelet.jpgThe Student Voice team at École Bannatyne is working with the school's Parent Council to help raise funds to build a new play structure. The students want their contribution to meaningful and memorable, which led them to partner with the iamloveproject.ca.

The students have helped design a special bracelet and the monies raised ($18 from every bracelet sold) will go towards building the new play structure at Bannatyne. All students are taking part in making these quality bracelets during the month of April.

Bracelets must be pre-ordered by March 22, and will be distributed on May 8. This is a great gift option to consider for Mother's Day, or to have matching bracelets with a friend or family member. These bracelets will symbolize a contribution to the local community and to supporting the enhancement of outdoor play at École Bannatyne.

The following is a description of the students' intention behind the bracelet design:

Kinship: This chain of love reminds us that the most important relationship you can have is with yourself! Sodalite helps you bring out the thinker in you so that you can think about your connections with other people. Love can be given and received by anyone, your friends and family and even your community. This bracelet can help you focus on the relationships you have and appreciate them for their true value. Be like a blue jay and fly into friendships!

Bracelets are made from 8mm sodalite beads, 8mm silver-plated hematite beads, a silver heart bead and a silver plated "I am love" charm. Beads may vary in colour.

Adults: 7 inch circumference $40

Child: 6 inch circumference $35

Payment can be made online by visiting School Cash or by cash/cheques made payable to École Bannatyne and delivered in the school office. Please click here for an order sheet.
