In anticipation of a new school year starting September 2022, registration for new Middle and Senior Years students will be taking place in February 2022. To register, see the following steps or contact your catchment area school for further information.
Middle Years registration
Grade 6 registrations and middle years' students new to SJASD can determine your catchment area school via School Locator.

Current students
Families with current grade 5 students in the SJASD looking to register for grade 6 at an SJASD middle year's school for the upcoming 2022-23 school year will receive their registration forms from their elementary school on Friday, January 28. These forms are to be returned to the elementary school no later than Friday, February 11.
New students
New students to SJASD looking to register for a Middle Years' school can visit the school website to access the registration forms (Middle Year's Website > Parents & Community > Registration).
Senior Years registration
Grade 9 registrations and senior years' students new to SJASD can determine your catchment area school via School Locator.

Current students
Students entering grade 9 for the 2022-2023 school year that are currently attending a St. James-Assiniboia School will be given a registration form at their Middle Years' school on Friday, February 11. Forms provided will be for the High School within their catchment area. Registration forms are to be returned to the Middle Years' school no later than Friday, February 25.
Online Out-of-Catchment and Out-of-Division Request for Grade 6 - 12
Important: All students must first register at their catchment area school before submitting their interest in registering out-of-catchment
For a student living in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division (SJASD) area wanting to express their interest in attending a school for 2022-23 in the SJASD out of their catchment area, the SJASD's school webpages will have a link for an online form for the waitlist.
- All students on this waitlist should be registered first at their catchment school.
- The online form will be available at 8:00 a.m. on February 11 (https://bit.ly/SJASDsoc2022)
- This waitlist will close on June 17, 2022.
Families on the waitlist will be notified of the status of their request starting June 17, 2022.
