Several students have taken home awards for their outstanding submissions in two recent art and photography contests in SJASD.
SJASD Photography Contest
Congratulations to the winners of the SJASD Photography Contest.
The competition ran throughout the month of April and Senior Years students submitted their top photo for consideration.
The winners are:
- Aliyah Villenueva, St. James Collegiate, First Place (flower)
- Aiden O'Brien, Westwood Collegiate, Second Place (bicycle)
- Kylee Dow, Westwood Collegiate, Third Place (school yard)
MarchART Contest
Division-wide, students put their painting skills to the test throughout the month of March. Students submitted original painted pieces for consideration and contest winners were announced in April.
The following students won in their age category:
- First Place SY Winner: Analisa Gamayao, Westwood Collegiate (fruit with tea pot)
- Second Place SY Winner: Emily Cox , Westwood Collegiate (house)
- First Place MY Winner: Brooke Borowiec, École Ness School (purple girl)
- Second Place MY Winner: Rhyrdyn Lipinski, École Ness School (colourful girl)
- First Place Winner Grades 3-5: Ryan Dolan, Sansome School (black and white cat)
- Second Place Winner Grade 3-5: Nevin Noonan, Sansome School (goalie)
- First Place Winner K-2: August Black, École Voyageur School (star wars)
- Second Place Winner K-2: Grace, École Voyageur School (cat)
