​Marketing magic, a yawning landscape, and whimsy.

These are the descriptions of the top three photos selected by SJASD Arts Coordinator Catharine Rivard-Iacozza for the annual SJASD Photography Contest.

The Senior Years' competition ran throughout April and students submitted their top photos for consideration.

The winners were announced earlier this week and include:

• First Place, Gonzalo P. F., College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate (glass)
• Second Place, Rafail I., Westwood Collegiate (landscape)
• Third Place, Yuliia O., College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate (apple balloons)
  

Contest winners won tools of the trade, including but not limited to a tripod and ring light with mobile features for the first-place photo, and a camera cleaning kit for the third place photo (pictured above with Sturgeon teacher Michael Roberts).
