​SJASD is looking for parents, caregivers, students, or members of the community to sign up as Middle School Basketball referees.

Refs must attend and obtain a Junior Referee certification and will have the opportunity to work as referees in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division for the duration of the Middle Years Basketball season. 

The St. James-Assiniboia Basketball Referee Clinic takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Golden Gate Middle School. There is a $20 fee to attend, which covers the cost of a whistle and lanyard, as well as a referee t-shirt. Cash or cheques will be collected on-site. Cheques payable to the St. James Middle Years Athletic Association.
