Anne Frank Exhibition

February 16, 2018

Anne Frank News.jpgCollège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate is proud to present the international, travelling exhibit from the Netherlands, Anne Frank - A History for Today. The exhibit will be open to the public weekdays from March 5– March 15 (excluding March 14) 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Admission is free!

About the Exhibit

The international exhibition Anne Frank - A History for Today  is shown in more than 40 countries and is based on the concept of peer education. Visitors are guided through the exhibit by our high school students who are responsible for teaching others about the content within. The worldwide tour is coordinated by the Anne Frank House in collaboration with local partner organizations such as Veterans Affair Canada.

The Exhibition tells the story of Anne Frank against the background of the Holocaust and the Second World War. It shows photographs of Anne Frank's childhood in Frankfurt and Amsterdam, and portrays the rise of the Nazis, the persecution of the Jews and the way the people responded during this period of history. In a consequent way, the exhibition shows the impact of the Nazi policy on one particular family.
