Registration for the 2018-2019 school year starts on Friday, January 26, 2018. École Assiniboine will be accepting kindergarten registrations from of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on January 26, 2018. Thereafter, we will accept registrations Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
A custodial parent must register the child in person and provide the following documents:
- Birth Certificate (original) – If you do not have a birth certificate, you must bring in a receipt showing that one has been ordered and then bring it in when it is received.
- If not born in Canada: Citizenship papers or Permanent Resident card, Record of Landing, Valid Work Permit/Visa, Valid Study Permit
- Manitoba Health card showing child & parent names
- 2 documents showing your current address (eg. MB medical card, valid Manitoba driver's license, lease agreement, house title or other official documents indicating address of residence)
For families living outside of the École Assiniboine catchment area, waiting lists will be kept. There will be one for those who live in the St. James Assiniboia School Division but out of our school's catchment area, and another for those who live in outside of the school division.

Once registered, your child will be invited to attend an orientation evening in the spring.
