Once again, Athlone School will be participating in "The Great Kindness Challenge". We have been taking part in this challenge for the last five years!  The first year we participated about half a million students were involved.  This year, there are well over 10 million students participating!

The GKC runs Monday, January 22 to Friday, January 26. There will be numerous activities for the week. We will be having kindness quote announcements each morning, caught being kind stickers, challenge checklists and a Kindness Matters graffiti wall for students to sign.

Athlone will also be doing a school wide service learning project. We will be participating in the "Coins for Hurricane Relief" initiative. "Coins for Hurricane Relief" raises money to build new playgrounds throughout areas that were devastated by hurricanes in the south during 2017. Hasbro will also match all money up to $100,000. We will be collecting money throughout the week. Students are encouraged to bring in spare change.
