This year Athlone School will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge. If you can believe it, this will be our 6th year participating as a school! The year we started about half a million students participated and now this year there are over ten million students participating worldwide!

The Great Kindness Challenge runs Monday, January 28th to Friday February 1st (inservice day). There will be numerous activities for the week.

Spirit Week:

Monday 28 - Crazy for Kindness - wear crazy socks, or hair or clothing

Tuesday 29 - Hats off for Kindness - wear a hat

Wednesday 30 - Wild about Kindness - dress like an animal or bring an animal stuffie

Thursday 31 - Dream of Kindness - PJ Day

Friday Feb 1 - Inservice - no classes

We will again be doing a school wide service learning project. This year we will be participating in the Kind Coins for Liberia initiative. This is to raise money to help build a new health clinic in Liberia. Students will be asked to collect spare change and bring it in throughout the week.

Students are asked to Be Kind to the Earth and bring a literless lunch. Green Hearts members will be handing out tickets to students throughout the week.
