On Pink Shirt Day, our grandbuddies came to Athlone School. Pink Shirt Day is all about standing up to bullies. We coloured pink shirts with kindness quotes on the shirts and clipped them onto a clothesline with colourful clips. We played cards and did puzzles and played fun games like Bellz and Connect 4. For snack, we had cookies with pink icing and some yummy strawberries. We talked about how we should be kind to the each other and never bully. Being kind is the best thing you can do. We love spending time with our grandbuddies each month and we loved getting to celebrate Pink Shirt Day together! It doesn't matter how young or old you are, you can always be friends, and you can always be kind. Together, we can make the world a better place- with our words and our actions. Remember to stand up for what is right and spread kindness wherever you go.   By Room 8
