Dear Bannatyne Families,

The month of May has brought us some welcome warmth and it is so refreshing to hear the birds chirping as well as to see all the Spring growth!

I Love to Read
Thank-you so much to the I Love To Read Committee, Mme Heidi, M Taylor and M Proulx and to all the many, many staff members who organized this year’s school-wide activities and who planned and ran the stations during the Community Cultural Literacy Evening.  Thank-you also to our Parent Council, especially Charlene Hogg, Misty Ruckl and Julie Millar, for collaborating with staff to make this year’s event a success. A very special Thank-You, Olga Schmelova, who brought her library of books from around the world, to share and to help us celebrate the many cultures that represent our incredible school community.

Music Monday
Thank-you so much Mme Gallo, who coordinated the Music Monday festivities and all the staff and Grade 4 and 5 student helpers who supported Mme Gallo and all our students. Congratulations to ALL the students from K-5 who performed for the Talent Show. You were all incredible and should be so very proud of your practice and performances. Our students have TALENT!

Lost and Found
Please remind your child(ren) to check the lost and found bin. Classroom teachers will also take a look through the items in hopes of finding their rightful owners. All of the items will be gathered and donated to Salvation Army at the end of the school year.

Welcome to Kindergarten
We are excited about spending time with our new, 2018-2019 Kindergarten students and their families on May 17 at 6:00 pm. All new students and their families have been invited to come to school to learn more about what they will be doing in their Kindergarten classroom in the Fall. They will also have an opportunity to meet their teachers, many staff members and new friends.
Volunteer Tea
Plans are well underway for the Volunteer Tea and invitations have been sent home. We look forward to taking the time on May 31 to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our volunteers!

Congratulations
Please see the scrolling banner on our website for more information and to help us celebrate our students’ accomplishments.

Please also visit our website for a lot of information about up coming events and activities.
