At-Home Remote Learning Continues:

As announced by the Government of Manitoba, schools will remain in Critical (red) level remote learning until the end of the school year.

During the week of June 14th – 18th:

 - Current Teams schedules will remain in place for all students with virtual classes and assignments continuing.

 - Some students will be invited to come into Bruce during this week by their classroom teachers to complete missing assignments, assessments, and/or provide evidence of learning as required.

*Parents, you can deny this request should you wish to keep your child at home and away from the school setting.

- For those in attendance, groupings will be no larger then 5 students with ample space for social distancing provided.

- Students who are currently in attendance at Bruce will continue to attend with the same schedules in place.

During the period of June 21st – 28th:

  • Online Teams meetings will continue with a focus on preparing and transitioning into the upcoming year. Schedules will be altered to support morning online classes and afternoon in-person connections.
  • All week we will be hosting virtual inspirational sessions led by some of Winnipeg’s key leaders. We have invited professional athletes, an author, local heroes that are making a difference, musicians, artists, an Olympian/nurse, an indigenous performer, a female politician who will speak to the students and have a Q&A after. More details to come next week.
  • Dates and times will be arranged for material drop-off (textbooks, iPads, etc.) and student supply pickup as required.
  • All current grade 8 students will be invited to attend Bruce in person to connect with classmates and staff to receive a parting gift and to recognize their efforts over their past three years as a Bearcat
  • Students who are currently in attendance at Bruce will continue to attend with the same schedules in place until Monday, June 28th
  • Report Cards will be emailed out to all families on the afternoon of Monday, June 28th
  • There is no school on June 29th and 30th

*Attendance continues to count. If you know your child will be unable to attend online, please use the school messenger app to excuse them from their classes for illness, appointment or otherwise.
