Bruce Loves to Read!
February 10th thru Feb 14th is I Love to Read week at Bruce and leadership students have planned a variety of activities to show our love of reading! Great prizes to be awarded.
Daily Contest- Word scramble! Check out the bulletin board in the front hallway. Enter your response in ballot box by 1:20.
Theme days- come dressed-up and receive a ballot from your BLAST teacher for daily prize draw:
Feb 10th - Monday- Pajama Day- a special bed time story will be read by Bruce's very Own ABC's during literacy time
Feb 11th - Tuesday- Wear a Word Day- special guest reader during literacy time
Feb 12th - Wednesday- Hockey Sweater Day- Bring your lunch to the MPR for a special screening of this Canadian Classic, followed by floor hockey in the gym
Feb 13th - Thursday- Book Character Day- contest and prizes for best dressed
Feb 14th - Friday- Wear Red Day- arrive early for a sweet treat for Valentine's day, free hot chocolate and poetry in the MPR from 8:20-8:35. There will also be a Literacy time competition- the winning BLAST group will get a prize. We will top off the week with a Gym BLAST period 7 & 8.
