Hello Bruce Families!
We hope this email finds you and your loved ones healthy and doing well emotionally. It is hard to believe that the last week of November is upon us and the number of ‘pivots’ we have completed since the start of the school year. Students seem to have adjusted well to the latest pivot with an alternating day schedule for grade 7/8 and new room assignments for grade 6 classes.
The adjustments for this week are the recently announced PD days for Monday and Tuesday, there are no classes these days. When students return Wednesday, it will be Day 4 on the school day calendar so students in team 2 and all grade 6 students would attend. It was great to see an overwhelming majority of students have logged in through MS Teams on their off days.
On Monday and Tuesday, staff will cover topics such as Trauma-informed decision making, acquiring materials for remote possibilities, teambuilding, literacy and numeracy and MS Teams.
Report cards will be electronic this year so paper copies will not be sent home unless requested. PDF versions of the report card will be sent home On December 2nd.
Please remember that the deadline for ordering Bruce apparel is November 29th. We are hoping that the order will be received by the Holidays, but the company providing the clothing could not guarantee it. We will be asking students to nominate a few outstanding students to receive a piece of Bearcat clothing. Nominations will be based on citizenship, character and work ethic. We hope your child is nominated.
