Hello Bruce Families,
This coming week we will see the resumption of a number programs at the school such as the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy (both during and after school), popcorn sales at snack time, the canteen with a limited menu and Tier 2 basketball games.
Students in the WJHA will resume on-ice and in-class practices and after school activities this Wednesday and Friday. Students will wear masks at all times, including on-ice. Students should bring an additional mask to wear after they come back to school, but the school will provide a second mask for those students who need one.
In basketball news, the Tier 1 teams continue their league play and will look forward to having spectators back watching games very soon. An email with directions will be sent to families of players. Tier 2 teams will begin their play against other schools this Tuesday against Ness. No spectators are allowed at this time for Tier 2, but the following links allows you to watch the games live:

Our breakfast program has just received generous funding from the Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba so we will expand the healthy options for students. The program is open to all students from 8:15-9:00 from the Foods classroom. Students who need a lunch can also drop by during breakfast to make themselves a sandwich with a variety of healthy options.
This Tuesday, Bruce is hosting a COVID vaccine clinic for our grade 6 students. If you have not filled out the permission form (paper version or online) and still wish for your child to be vaccinated, please contact public health.
Finally, a reminder for grades 6 and 7 parents and guardians that registration forms for next year are due. Grade 8 students will receive their high school registration forms next Friday as well as a presentation from administration about their course options.
Have a great weekend!
