Hello Bruce Families!
I hope this email finds you and your family in good spirits and health.
We have finished our week of Olympic events and we congratulate Team Canada on their win! Austria finished 2nd, followed by Germany and then Norway. The win came down to the final event of the week – Yoshi – and it was a thrilling finish. Images and videos of the events can be found on our Instagram page. A pizza party for Team Canada will be planned for next week. Thank you to all teachers and EAs for their support, especially Mr. Kostiuk for organizing and Ms Brown for helping run events.
We have also run a wellness week, with students participating in an activity and then journaling their thoughts towards better mental health.
Tomorrow (February 23) we will observe National Pink Shirt Day in support of Anti-Bullying. Please send your child in a pink shirt if you have one.
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, March 10 from 4pm-7pm. Conferences will again be virtual through Microsoft TEAMS and be set for 10 minutes. We ask that you please schedule only one conference at this time with your teacher of choice. On Monday, February 28 the Parent – Teacher conference site will open for bookings for the Spring Parent-Teacher conferences. On Monday, March 7 we will open up the system for parents to book an additional conference.
Good news for parents of Tier 2 basketball players, you are now able to watch your child play at their home games. Details are in the attached document.
