Hello Families,

Today's sudden (though not unexpected) showers at the end of lunch led to some singing in the rain and cries of "I'm melting!" lol With the exceptions of severe conditions, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We will go outside unless there is lightning or a weather advisory.

There are two attachments to this email, one for newcomers to Canada and another in reaction to recent traumas outside of our jusdiction and control.  The first is a registration form for families new to Canada with permanent residence status for a summer program for kids. Family Dynamics is an accredited not-for-profit  community -based agency, dedicated to strengthening  families and building healthy , supportive communities. One of the ways through which we accomplish this goal is by providing  after school, summer and spring break programs to newcomer children .

The second attachment is guidance from the National Association of School Psychologists (US) for parents on how to talk to children about violence. Recent events around the world may trigger a response in children ranging from confusion to worry or worse and how we respond as adults will help determine how they process this information. Please take a moment to review.​
