Happy November Bear Families!
Today was a fantastic end to a fun-filled week with our first BLAST of the year. The Polar Bears are currently in first place with the Brown and Black Bears tied for second and the Grizzlies taking up the rear, the final standing only marginal between the teams. All teams represented well with excellent participation and sportsmanship in the games. We look forward to more BLAST events with our awesome students!

November 6th - 9th: Bruce Annual Scholastic Book Fair: Students will have the opportunity to peruse and make purchases during scheduled times from Wed - Fri, and the Fair will remain open for families and craft sale guests on Saturday November 9th.
Thursday, Nov 7th, Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences are on November 7th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Appointments can be made using the on-line Conference Manager which will open at 4:00 pm Friday, November 1st.
Indigenous Veterans Day & Remembrance Day Service - Friday, November 8th
We invite you to join us for our Remembrance Day Service on Friday, November 8th, at 9:15 a.m. This event is an important time for our school community to come together in reflection and gratitude for those who have served our country. We hope to see you there as we honour their sacrifices and remember their courage.
If you have a loved one who has served or is currently serving in the military, we would be grateful to include them in our ceremony. Please send a photo of your loved one, along with their name, where they served, and the name of the student they are connected to at Bruce Middle School. You may email this information to Mr. Norm Gould, Vice-Principal, at norm.gould@sjasd.ca, or your child may bring it to their classroom teacher. Kindly submit any photos and details by Tuesday, November 5th, to ensure they are part of our ceremony.

Saturday, November 9: Please join us for the BMS Annual Winter Craft Sale is on Saturday, November 9th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is $2.00 /person.
Our November fun lunch with Pita Pit is on Thursday, November 14th . Orders can be placed online at www.healthyhunger.ca . The deadline to order will be Saturday, November 9th.

No School on Monday, Nov 11th
We will be collecting new or "gently used" items (household items, toys & games, decor items, etc) beginning November 12th for our Annual BMS Holiday Sale. Please drop off donations to the school's office. We will also be accepting monetary donations which will be used towards the purchase of food for hampers. More information will be sent out to families in the next few weeks.
