Happy Friday Bears and Cubs!
As I didn't get a memo out last week, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who volunteered, stopped by, shopped or otherwise supported our Annual Winter Craft Sale last weekend. It was a highly successful event with proceeds delegated toward the purchase of a new scoreboard for our gymnasium.
This week Ms. Yard led our school community though a Kindness Challenge where students had the opportunity to participate in reflections about how our actions affect others and the Power of Kindness to make a difference in someone's life. Through committing to acts of kindness and writing messages of gratitude to others, our students spread warmth and joy throughout the building. We will carry on with our 3rd session this coming Monday. And speaking of Kindness...
...Once again we will be supporting the Husky Hampers initiative at Sturgeon Heights, supporting many families in our own community over the holidays. Starting Monday we will be accepting a Tin for the Bin (any non-perishable canned good - soup, vegetables, fruit, etc). Students can bring in donations to our Bin located in the front entrance of the school. Please help us to spread a little cheer and nourishment this holiday season!
Just a couple reminders below about upcoming dates. Wishing everyone a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
Tuesday, November 19 - Staff PLC - Early Dismissal at 3 p.m.
Wednesday, November 27th at 4 p.m. - Report cards will be emailed home.
