Striving to meet the educational needs of the community we serve, the St. James-Assiniboia School Division (SJASD) will be offering the Advanced Placement (AP) Program at all of its senior year's schools effective September 2023. In our commitment to providing educational enrichment opportunities, the flexibility of the AP program's structure and diverse course selection empowers students to tailor their educational goals.

Students have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the subjects that interest them with the AP course. They are empowered to choose a path in their areas of passion, which further highlights their strengths. Since AP is often conducted on a class-by-class basis, students may be better able to balance their courses with life outside school.

​To provide flexible learning options, the SJASD will offer courses for subjects such as Math, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Capstone, French Literature, with the potential to add subjects based on student interest. The Division also will continue to monitor and ensure our course offerings are responsive to the learning needs and demands of our students.
