June Graduation Reminders​

As we get closer to graduation, we just wanted to send out some quick reminders for next week.

Cap and Gown Pick Up – Monday June 22^nd at John Taylor

• Cap and gown pick up will be on Monday June 22^nd from 9am – 11am at John Taylor in the front link
• Students will be receiving a cap, gown and V-stole. All three pieces must be brought by the student to the convocation ceremony. We do not have any back-up pieces for students to borrow.
• Monday and Tuesday are an excellent opportunity for photos, as students must return their gown and V-stole before leaving convocation.
• Students will pick up their convocation tickets at this time. The number of tickets you are receiving is based on the Ticket Request form you filled out.
• There is no fee for convocation tickets.

Grad Walk – Tuesday June 23^rd  

• Students who signed up for this have received information about where and when to meet.

Convocation – Wednesday June 24^th at Club Regent Event Centre, 1425 Regent Ave

• Students are to arrive no later than 8:30am wearing their cap, gown and V-stole
• Doors open for guests at 8:45am. There will be a specific door for grads to use to get into the Event Centre before the doors open to guests.
• Guests must have their Convocation ticket to enter
• Ceremony begins at 9:30am
• This should end at approximately 11:30am at which time students will return their gown and V-stole before leaving the venue (graduate gets to keep their cap)

Dinner Reception – Thursday June 25^th at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington Ave

• There are no physical tickets for this event. When you arrive, there is a seating chart outside the door. It will have your table number organized by graduate's last name.
• Doors open at 7:00pm
• This is a dry event (no alcohol served)
• Dinner reception ends at 10:00pm and students can enter Safe Grad
• Reminder that no other dietary accommodations can be made at this time. Thank you to everyone for submitting your Table Reservation Form in May.

Safe Grad – Thursday June 25^th at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington Ave

• This event takes place after the dinner reception at the hotel, in the room next door.
• Tickets and paperwork for this have already been purchased and completed if your graduate is choosing to attend.
• Once the dinner is over, please wait in line with your graduate to get into Safe Grad as parents must sign in their child.
