​March 8th was International Women's Day.  It is a globally recognized day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality and basic human rights for all. On this day, people across the world wear purple to symbolize women's achievements, raise awareness about women's equality, and fundraise for female-focused charities. Our student leadership and social justice team have a fun-fundraiser planned for next week where our proceeds will be donated to help create educational opportunities for girls.
