It was announced today that all schools in the Winnipeg Metro Region
will be moving to the Orange (Restricted) Level of operation.
Know that since the beginning
of the school year (Orange) Restricted Level has been constantly
adjusting. Some of the changes that will be made are as follows
- High
School students are still allowed to attend on their alternating day
schedule
- Bussing
where feasible is one student per seat, but parents may opt to have their
child sit in a seat with another student as per our current bussing
protocols
- Physical
distancing where possible is 2 metres but in some circumstances where 2
metres is not possible, student remain in cohorts.
- Schools
will not be required to move students to other buildings in order to
accommodate 2 metre distancing
- Optional
remote learning will be made available for all students K-8. Schools
will have more information in the coming days.
To ensure we plan effectively to support the requirements set out from
Manitoba’s provincial health experts, please take a moment to read the attached
letter and follow this link to a short survey in regards to the next 2-4 weeks
of school. All surveys need to completed by Friday at 4:30 pm.
