High 5 Community Run Race Information
NEW FOR 2021!!
Since this year we are running a
virtual event there is no specific race course. The loops listed are just
two examples of courses that would fit the 2.5km and 5km distances. Check

to see the suggested loops and for more information. You are encouraged to pick
a route that you like to run and map your distance with a watch, phone app or
by using a website. Remember to maintain physical distancing when running
and follow all MB health orders when participating.
Who: Originally
this race was started as an event for students, staff and families from our
High 5 community of schools (École Robert Browning, Sansome School, Phoenix
School, Lincoln Middle School and Westwood Collegiate, however, over the past
year we’ve expanded it to welcome participants from all schools (students,
staff and families) in the St. James – Assiniboia school division.
What: A 5km
fun run held in our community (a 2.5km loop will also be an option)
Where: ANYWHERE!
When: Monday,
May 31st, 2021 and the entire week following (deadline to submit times is June
6th).
Why: To
build a strong community relationship between our five schools, be active
and have fun!
Runners have the option of completing
either a 2.5km or a 5km loop. The start and finish line are both located
at École Robert Browning in the northeast school yard.
So you want to race?
There is no race registration this year. Just get outside and
put in your best time for a 2.5km or 5km run. Be sure to submit a photo or
video of you running along with your run stats when you complete the race.
