Lincoln Middle School’s annual Terry Fox Run has been recognized by the Terry Fox Foundation as one of the longest and most successful school campaigns in the province. We have been involved for an incredible 36 years! Last year, our Terry Fox Run raised $1,650.00 for cancer research. We are proud and grateful to have such a dedicated community in pursuit of Terry’s dream of a world without cancer.
This year, our Lincoln Terry Fox Run will happen on Wednesday, September 24th at 2:40pm. On that day, students will take part in walk/run through the back field of the school. Students may walk/run the 1-kilometre course as many times as they wish in the time allotted. Students will also have a special virtual presentation from a Terry Fox ambassador on September 11th to kick off our Terry Fox fundraising.
Sadly, many students, families and staff members have a connection to someone who has cancer. This run often serves as a personal dedication to a friend or relative. Students will have the opportunity to discuss the heroic efforts of Terry in the days leading up to the event and are encouraged to raise much needed funds in support of cancer research.
