The St. James-Assiniboia School Division is planning a Parent/Trustee session on Saturday, November 18, 2017 scheduled to be held at the Victoria Inn. The John Taylor and Westwood Colleagiate Family of Schools will be meeting from from 1:00 p. m. to 3:30 p. m.
The St. James-Assiniboia School Division was hoping to have a diverse group of parents from each of the schools to address the following questions and get parental feedback so that they can determine next steps:
1. Do you feel that your children are being prepared for the world beyond school? Please provide examples to support your beliefs.
2. From a parent's perspective, what are the challenges of parent voices being heard in the public education system?
3. How do our schools make a difference locally and globally? What more do you think schools need to do in this regard?
4. Please provide three stars and a wish regarding the current school system.
5. NB. - There is a 'Parking Lot' for any ideas that didn't fit the structure of the questions used in today's format.
