We have some exciting events planned for I Love to Read Week at Sansome:
Guest Readers: Wab Kinew and Dr. James Duncan
Monday, Feb. 11 @ 1:15 pm: Author Wab Kinew will be reading his children's book: "Go Show The World" to all students. Families are welcome to attend.
The morning of Wednesday, Feb. 13 am: Author Dr. James Duncan will be talking to all grades levels in small groupings of students about his work with owls, and writing "Owls Of The World."
I Love to Read Week Events:
100 Day Book Challenge: All students will work together to read 100 books by 100 day (Feb 13th). Each student will post their reading for the whole school to see as we work towards this goal!
The Great Book Exchange: Do you have books at home that you are finished with and no longer read? Please consider donating them to our student book exchange and choose something new! Mrs. McKenzie's Grade 2/3 students will be organizing this event for all students. Remainders will be donated to the Children's Hospital Book Fair.
Caught You Reading Challenge: Mr. Lizotte will be looking for classes that are engaged in reading throughout the week. If he catches a class they will earn Scholastic book gift certificates to support purchases of additional books for their classroom library.
