The Astro Jimmies and Physics Teacher Ms. Werner, were recognized for their recent accomplishments which included 4 successful HAB flights and winning the best engineering and design award at the Manitoba Association of Physics Teachers High Altitude Balloon Symposium for their R2-D2 payload design. This payload contained multiple HD cameras and an electronic tracking system and travelled 30 000 meters above sea level. Ms. Werner and these students will have their names entered in the Hansard in the Manitoba Legislature for March 13, 2019.
