On November 27th, all of our Gr. 12 English classes had an AMAZING  opportunity to meet virtually with Canadian, award-winning author, Souvankham Thammavongsa! We were able to hear her read a section from her new book, “How to Pronounce Knife" , ask questions... and every student received a copy of her novel!

Souvankham Thammavongsa is the author of four acclaimed poetry books, and the short story collection HOW TO PRONOUNCE KNIFE, a New York Times Editors' Choice, a TIME 100 Must-Read Books of 2020, and winner of the 2020 Scotiabank Giller prize, out now with McClelland & Stewart (Canada), Little, Brown (U.S.), and Bloomsbury (U.K.).
