Every morning, Tristan goes to our library on his spare to read our school copy of the Winnipeg Free Press. Prior to the holidays, he saw a contest asking youth to write in to share their thoughts on why newspapers are important. He had an extra hour, so he submitted an essay. It was selected as one of the winners, and he won two tickets to sit in the Free Press suite at the next Jets game, where he'll have a chance to further discuss the topic with editors of the paper.
