Congratulations to Blake - The Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada has chosen him as the recipient of the 2019 Mina Rosner Human Rights Award! His winning essay focuses on the importance of historical education for today's youth. Kelly Hiebert, a member of our Humanities department, was a mentor to Blake throughout the process of writing and submitting the winning essay. Responding to interest generated from our Holocaust Tour to Europe last year, Mr. Hiebert has formed a Genocide Awareness Committee for our students.
