Congratulations to Tate Devries, Choral Student of the Month! Tate is currently in Grade 12 here at Westwood. He is a talented and dedicated singer with superior technical vocal skills. Right now, Tate is working towards completing his Gr. 9 RCM piano exam. He is a highly valued member of the Westwood Concert Choir and the Senior Musical Theatre Troupe. Tate positively influences and mentors other singers in the choir. He is a strong presence in the alto section of the Concert Choir and always contribute positively to discussions and rehearsals. Furthermore, Tate will be playing the character of Roger, one of the leads, in our upcoming performance of the musical, Rent. Tate has also been a valued member of the St. James-Assiniboia Divisional Choir program since Grade 5. Tate’s future plans include auditioning for the School of Music at Brandon University. Tate, thanks for your hard work and for being an outstanding example for all other choral students.
