Lunch Program Reminder:
If your child is registered as a full-time lunch student and wishes to go out for lunch, please ensure the school is notified before 11:30 a.m. Families may provide permission in any of the following ways:
A written note delivered to the office
An email from a parent/guardian
A phone call to the school
A message submitted through the Safe Arrival app
A parent/guardian stopping by the office in person
Students are not permitted to call home at 12:10 p.m. to ask for permission at the start of lunch. Recently, the office has been overwhelmed with students requesting to call home, which is disruptive to office operations. In many cases, students are unable to reach an adult to grant permission, and when permission is denied or cannot be obtained, they return to their lunchroom with very little time left to eat before heading outside for recess.
This is a friendly reminder to please plan ahead if your child will be going out for lunch. Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us keep lunchtime safe, organized, and running smoothly.
