May 5th marks The National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, also known as Red Dress Day. This day honours the thousands of missing and murdered MMIWG2S+ people in Canada by encouraging learning and building awareness to end violence against MMIWG2S+. Thank you to all those who supported our bake sale in support of local initiatives and awareness campaigns. We encourage families to be aware of and/or participate in events throughout Manitoba over the weekend and make connections with what many students have been learning about throughout the week.
