Lincoln Middle School is located on Treaty 1 Land, the traditional territories of the:
Anishinaabeg (Ah-nish-in-ah-beg),
the Ininewak (In-in-ew-ahk)
and the Dakota Oyate (Dah-koh-tah Oh-yah-tay) peoples.
It is the birthplace and homeland of the Red River Métis nation and is also home to members of the
Denesuline (Deh-nay-soo-li-nay),
the Anisininewuk (Ann-sin-in-ew-uhk)
and the Inuit (Ih-new-eat) nations.
We thank Shoal Lake 40 First Nation located in Treaty 3 for our clean water and Northern Manitoba in Treaty 5 for the electricity we use.

Tomorrow is the start of the May long weekend! Monday is Victoria Day and there is no school on that day. Victoria Day is meant to honour the birthday of Queen Victoria and first declared a holiday in the province of Canada in 1845!
Last call for any grade 8 students wanting to visit Westwood Collegiate and view their dress rehearsal performance of “She Kills Monsters.” This is only open to the first 30 grade 8 students who return their permission form. If you’re interested, please see Ms. Muldrew for permission forms and more information.
FRIDAY, starting next week...
The SJASD ‘Wheel’ BINGO Challenge starts with a chance to win a $500 shopping spree at White Pine Bicycle! The SJASD “Wheel Challenge” will take place from May 21 to June 10, 2024. It is a chance for students to “wheel” on a regular basis. So, rollerblade, scooter, use your wheelchair or bike your way to wellness. Information and Bingo cards will be sent home in Notes from the Office this Friday. Paper copies of the bingo card are also available from Ms. Riddell and in the office.
FRIDAY, grade 6 running practice at 12:20pm. Student track volunteers can help out.

Friday: Dance club happens today at 12:20 in the studio.
Friday: There is no dance team practice today after school.
Board Game Club:
Board games club happens on Wednesdays starting at noon in the art room. New members are always welcome.
Anime Club happens at 12:20 in the Home Ec room on Fridays.
