McHappy Day
McHappy Day is coming up on May 8th and we are hoping you will support our local McDonalds, located at 2359 Ness Ave on this day.
A message for those students and staff who want to purchase McDonalds food that day:
Fill your tummy and your heart as this community staple returns for a 30th year with proceeds going to support 16 Ronald McDonald houses and 17 Ronald McDonald family rooms in Canada to give about 26,000 families a place to stay together when they must travel for their sick child's treatment.
As an added bonus, our wonderful Admin Team will be helping McDonalds out from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. that day.
Please note that our cafeteria will be closed that day giving you even more of a reason to purchase McDonalds for lunch.
Grade 12
Any graduating grade 12 student looking for a grad gown should see Ms. Peters or Ms. Langrell in Student Services by the end of the week (May 3rd).
If you are a grade 12 student that has been accepted to the University of Winnipeg for the Fall semester, there will be an important presentation about next steps for university. Please make sure that you are in attendance Wednesday, May 1st period 2 in Library for this meeting. If you have questions, please see any of the guidance counsellors.
Any student who is going planning to go into education in post secondary next year can apply for the Alpha Beta Kappa scholarship. Please see Mrs. Langrell for more information on how to apply.

Vocal Jazz Foreigner Contest

Si vous êtes un élève de 12e année qui a été accepté à l’Université de Winnipeg pour le semestre d’automne, il y aura une présentation importante sur les prochaines étapes pour l’université. Assurez-vous d’être présent le mercredi 1er mai période 2 à la bibliothèque pour cette réunion. Si vous avez des questions, n’hésitez pas à vous adresser à l’un des conseillers d’orientation.

La vente annuelle d’artisanat de la fête des Mères de Sturgeon Heights approche à grands pas, le samedi 11 mai. Si vous souhaitez y faire du bénévolat, veuillez voir Mme Woods au gymnase.
Les auditions ont lieu le mercredi à midi au théâtre.
