Kindergarten held a special party today to honour the
students’ mothers. It was a wonderful
party. The children gave their mothers
and grandmothers flowers and baked muffins the day before to be served with
coffee or punch. It was a wonderful
event and it reminded all of us at the school about a quote made famous by
Abraham Lincoln: “All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my mother.” As adults we understand how true this
statement is.
But motherhood is a reciprocal relationship. Our children are always a huge part of our
lives and no matter what stage of life they are at; as mothers and parents we
always want the best for them. There is
an unknown quote that states: “Mothers
hold their children’s hands for a short while but their hearts forever.”
Enjoy your special Mother’s Day!
