Science Fair News

Woo-hoo it's science fair time!  Have you started your project?

Athlone Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 18. All students from Grade 3 to 5 are welcome to participate in one of the 3 categories. These categories include experimental, research or design/innovative. Mrs. Jensen has visited all of the classrooms to explain and answer questions about the fair. Students who planned on participating were given letters of intent. These letters should be submitted to Mrs. Jensen if they haven't done so yet. Then in return they will receive a larger booklet to help guide them. Students are allowed to work in groups of no more than 2. They can be from a different grade or class but will be judged with the highest grade category. We have 8 projects that we can  send on to the divisional fair which will take place on April 8. Backboards will be available near the end of January or beginning of February for $5 (awesome deal!) Don't forget to start your log book right away!
