Manitoba schools close for three weeks starting March 23

March 13, 2020

LogoHeader.pngDear families,

As announced on March 13, 2020 by the Province of Manitoba, all schools in Manitoba will close as of Monday, March 23 for three weeks (one week before Spring Break and one week after Spring Break). A week has been provided to allow for families and schools to prepare for continuity of learning. School staff will continue to work during the week before and week after Spring Break. Schools will be in contact with families to communicate plans for learning during this time. Our schools are safe and this is a preventative measure to limit the impact of COVID-19.

The St. James-Assiniboia School Division continues to work with the Province of Manitoba and take direction from the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and other government health offices regarding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The situation is being evaluated on an ongoing basis and communications with parents will continue to be provided through School Messenger, as well as our social media, as new information becomes available.
