École Bannatyne is a French Immersion school that strives to provide all students with a linguistically rich, engaging and caring learning environment. At Bannatyne, we all “take care of each other” and kindness and respect are the foundations of our positive school climate. All students get to come to school, feel safe and good about themselves, so they are confident and take the risks necessary for learning. We believe that each child is to be honoured as unique and we work together to guide them and help them take pride in their language learning. Our educational environment is also founded in the importance of building positive relationships with our students, staff and our community. Our community is an integral part of our positive school climate.
École Bannatyne was originally built of 1911 and many keepsakes from the original building remain on the school grounds. We are a K - 5 French Immersion school with approximately 240 students.
