We are pleased to invite you to our first International
Microsoft DigiGirlz.
This year we are 100% virtual and will be using the
opportunity to connect with girls across North
America and Africa. The International Microsoft
DigiGirlz Panel & Bootcamp is an online experience
designed to provide girls, aged 14-18, with a better
understanding of what a career in technology is like,
offer hands on experience in workshops and
hackathons, and enable cross cultural
collaboration and networking.
We kick off with our International
Microsoft DigiGirlz Panel on March 4th,
10am-11am CST / 8am-9am PST.
In honor of World Engineering Day
for Sustainable Development, you’ll hear
from people across the globe on how
and why they joined the field of
engineering and get a teaser for
the Bootcamp the following week.
The DigiGirlz Bootcamp starts March 8th,
coinciding with International Women’s Day,
and will consist of 90-minute bootcamps
throughout the week. During the sessions
attendees will get hands on experience on
how technology can support the UN’s
Sustainability Development Goals (SDG’s).
We will close the week with a hackathon
where the girls will get to demonstrate
their creativity and international
collaboration on a solution aligning
to one of the 17 SDG’s.
To accommodate multiple time zones,
the DigiGirlz Bootcamp will have two
time-zone options. To ensure a
consistent experience and groupings for the
girls throughout the Bootcamp, you must
register for the same time zone
option for each day.
