All French Immersion schools will be hosting Kindergarten Information nights on February 4th at 7:00pm. The catchment French Immersion School is Ecole Voyageur.

How do I know if my child is eligible to attend Kindergarten?

All children born in 2021 can register for Kindergarten starting in September 2026.

How do I know if Lakewood School is my catchment area school?

All students must register at their catchment area school.

How do I register my child for Kindergarten?

We will be accepting registration forms in the Lakewood School office on February 6th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The office is closed from 11:35am -12:35 pm​. You could also go to https://www.sjasd.ca/school/lakewood​ on that date and download a fillable form to bring in. 

Please note that the following documentation is required for final approval of registration. 

• Birth Certificate
  
• If your child is not born in Canada, you will be required to provide citizenship papers or one of the following documents: Permanent Resident card, Record of Landing, Valid Work Permit/Visa, Valid Study Permit
• Manitoba Health card showing child & parent names
• 2 Proofs of Residency (e.g. MB medical card, valid Manitoba driver's license, lease agreement, house title or other official documents indicating address of residence.)

These documents are required to complete the registration process.

How do I express my interest to possibly attend a different school that is not my catchment area school?

All students must first register at their catchment area school. 

If a family wishes to express their interest to attend a school in SJASD out of their catchment area and live in the SJASD, they may indicate their interest by completing the online form opening February 14th at 8:00am on the division website. Student Registration - St. James-Assiniboia School Division​

If a family wishes to express their interest to attend a school in SJASD and live in another division, they may indicate their interest by completing the online form opening February 14th at 8:00am.

Registration forms will not be accepted before Friday, February 6th.
