Principal's Message

Welcome to Golden Gate Middle School

Welcome to our Golden Gate students and families!  We are ready to start a great year of adventures in learning! We would like to welcome our new grade 6 students as they start Middle School. We would also like to welcome our new students to our school community, and the return of our grade 7 and 8 students to our school.

We would also like to welcome our new staff to Golden Gate. I know we will be sharing an active and engaging, event-filled year of learning and educational opportunities for all of our students, staff, and families at Golden Gate Middle School.

Through our school planning efforts, we have set goals to improve student learning in the areas of literacy, numeracy, as well as to enhance student well-being.  We will support our students where they are at when they return as the remote learning experience was different for many students, and continue to challenge the students who excelled during the remote learning. We are committed to providing quality education for all learners, and a hopefully with time, a safe return to a wide variety of activities to support and broaden the interests of all students and, as a staff, to continue to grow and learn professionally.

 As a Golden Gate family, we continue to prepare our students to become good citizens by following the 3 R's-

Be Respectful,

* Be Responsible and

* Be Ready.

The Golden Gate School staff encourages family involvement in their child’s learning and hopes to build educational partnerships with you. By working together, we can help each child achieve an excellent education in a safe and positive environment. A positive relationship between home and school is a key factor in promoting student learning and ensuring ongoing academic success.

As we return to school, understandably there is going to be lots of changes. We want to ensure our families that we want to make sure the necessary measures and protocols are in place for the safe return of students, and staff. We miss our students, and we look forward them being back in the schools!

Thank you for supporting our school!

Yours in Education,

Mr. D. Kalynchuk
