The Manitoba Council for International Cooperation selected St. James Collegiate Teacher Ms. Tara Tuchscherer as one of three winners of the Global Citizenship Award for Educators for 2017.  She is seen here accepting her award from Keana Rellinger, Public Engagement Specialist at MCIC.

The Global Citizenship Award for Educators recognizes Manitoba teachers and administrators who have been leaders in promoting global citizenship. Tara was nominated for her work with the school Social Justice Club to achieve Fair Trade School status at her high school, the first Fair Trade School in Winnipeg. She also works with the Sustainability Club and is involved in other efforts marking her as an informed, active global citizen.
