Hello Bruce Families,

We had a really good week at school. Students have moved beyond the anxiety of what school and COVID look like together and have settled into healthy routines (though some have settled back into routines of poor choice making)  - all good signs that we are getting truly back to normal! Ha!

Student ID cards have arrived and if your child did not receive them today, they will on Tuesday.

The Manitoba Association of Parent Councils recommends that schools hold their Parent Annual General Meeting virtually to avoid having large groups within the school. We will hold our first (VIRTUAL) meeting at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 22nd. The meeting will be conducted through Microsoft Teams and we will send out a survey with the link to join the meeting next week.

Just a reminder for students and parents that Physical Education classes at Bruce will continue to take place outdoors for the foreseeable future unless we are experiencing inclement weather (such as high windchill or heavy rain), or unsafe field conditions.  Please help ensure your son/daughter continues to dress appropriately for the weather and remind them to keep extra layers of clothing in their backpack or bag.

Intramurals and extra-curricular sports continue to remain on pause at Bruce and all SJASD Middle Schools.  This will continue to be evaluated on a week-to-week basis and we will update when we can proceed with programming.
