Hello Bruce families!
We hope you are finding ways to keep yourselves and your families safe and resilient during these times. This last week we reviewed with students the reasons to follow public health guidelines around mask wearing, maintaining physical distances, and sanitizing regularly. Please take a moment to talk to your young ones about follow health protocols.
On a positive note, we will be using the little money we have from a previous fundraiser to bring pizza in for all students next week. We had originally planned for a pizza lunch for contest winners from the Socially distanced Spirit Week activities. Then we saw how the grade 6 students didn’t care to win unless they won as a whole class (inclusion), and the grade 7 and 8 students worked so collaboratively and strategically that we decided in the end they were all deserving. So, on Tuesday (27th) all grade 6 classes will have a pizza lunch. On Wednesday (28th) and Thursday (29th), the grade 7 and 8 classes will enjoy pizza. If your child has any allergies or restrictions, please let us know.
Please note that the Gr 6 Dose #2 of HB, HPV & Meningitis immunizations and the Grade 8 Tdap immunization are not happening at the school on April 28, 2021 due to public health nurses reassigned to assist with the pandemic.
The grade 8 students will have their photos taken with Lifetouch on May 25 and 26.
The transportation department has sent a note regarding changes for bussing pick up for next year. Please see the following attachment.

Finally, the City of Winnipeg has let us know that because of work being done in front of Bruce, there will be no parking or stopping across the Street on Booth Drive. Please make alternate arrangements if you use that space.
