Resiliency in a Post-covid World - Virtual Parent Session

Wednesday, April 20th, 6:15pm – 7:15pm – Early, Middle and Senior Years Parents, Presented by Dr. Maria Phelps, School Psychologist

Resiliency is a central concept in mental health promotion. Resiliency is the ability to bounce back from adversity and adapt well to changes in our life. We can become resilient by developing ways to think and behave that help us cope and adapt to challenging situations successfully, such as a pandemic and the return to a ‘new’ normal in a post-Covid world. In this session, evidence-based strategies that can be deployed by Early, Middle, and Senior Years school staff will be presented in order to encourage the development of resiliency skills leading to better mental health for all.

Please note this session is intended for parents.  Please register for the appropriate date with Debbie Neufeld at debbie.neufeld@sjasd.ca no later than Thursday, April 14th and provide your name, your child’s grade and school, and your mailing address, as we will send sending out a free resource.
