Hello Bruce Families!
Spirit week is next week, and it kicks off on Halloween Day. We can’t wait to see everyone’s costume (and some parent’s creativity!) but please remember that weapons are not allowed. After reading time on Monday, we will be doing a locker cleanup followed by Halloween activities. This includes a dance, movies, pumpkin carving, games and more. Students must sign up for their activity of choice and it is first come, first served with a limit on how many can participate in each activity. Sign up is outside the gym.
Friday will be the Student Recognition Assembly in the afternoon followed by our first BLAST activity in the gym for all students. Please see the attachment for details on each day’s dress up theme. Spirit Week
Picture retakes will be held Friday the 4th in the morning. All students must have their photo taken for their ID card.
We have begun collecting cereal boxes for the divisional Christmas Hampers. We are hoping to collect 300 boxes (or more!) throughout the month of November.
Another part of the Hamper fundraiser is the pizza order through Sturgeon Heights/Little Pizza Heaven. The school is purchasing a slice of pizza for all students with delivery on November 9th. If you wish to purchase an additional slice of pepperoni, cheese or ham/pineapple pizza ($3) or order a pop ($1) the order is due on the 4th. We will begin weekly pizza days November 18.
