Hello Bruce Bears Families – Happy New Year!!
We hope you all had a joyous winter break. For those recognizing the Orthodox Christmas, may you have a wonderful celebration.
Two sports in the spotlight at the school right now include Hockey and Cross Country Skiing. For those in the WJHA hockey program, please remember that the Friday after school sessions restart on the 13th. Cross Country skiing is being taught in all PE classes for the month of January so students should come to school with appropriate cold weather gear – toque, mitts/gloves, ski pants and jacket.
Coincidentally, some parents may be wondering where a certain piece of clothing has disappeared to, and it may have ended up in our lost and found table. Attached are a couple pictures of the clothing and other items currently in the lost and found. If these items are not claimed by the end of next week, we will be donating gently used items to goodwill. We need to clear this space to make room for a couple of microwaves for reheating lunches.
Our first Band and Choir concert of the year is coming up January 26th. Students should be at the school no later than 6:30 to get ready for the 7:00pm concert. All family members and friends are welcome to attend.
Pizza Fridays will restart next week. Orders are due the Thursday prior.
Tuesday is an early dismissal.
