Hello Bruce Families!

We hope this email finds you all in a great space for the end of summer. We have had a great start up to the school year, with staff and students settling nicely into school routines again and focusing on getting the work done.

Yearbooks have been handed out for grade 7 & 8 students and those who did not receive their copy can come to the office to get theirs. Grade 9 students can pick one up in the school office as well.

Congratulations to those who have made the Tier 1 Volleyball team! Tier 2 teams are being selected this week. Cross Country has begun as well, please encourage your child to come out.

The deadline for immunization forms has passed, but public health officials have assured us that they are still willing to accept them if returned soon. If you still have your child’s immunization permission form, please return it to the office as soon as possible.

Sturgeon Heights Collegiate has invited all students in their family of schools to their homecoming football game and there are many former Bears on the team to cheer on. Please see the attached flyer for details.

Homecoming​

The Bruce Meet the Teacher Picnic will be held in front of the school on Thursday, September 28 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Come for food, games and meet the staff. All parents are welcome!

Finally, don’t forget tomorrow is our first early dismissal at 3:00.
